At last Tom and Mu have arrived and their train was only a couple of hours late. We didn't have to wait at the station for them very long as we had been tracking their progress on the www.indiarailinfo.com where a search for Mandovi Express brings up the real time progress. They enjoyed their 14 hour journey from Mumbai - apart from a very large boorish Englishman who imposed himself on their cabin.

We enjoyed the Indian station experience but think it may have cured us of any romantic notions of travelling by train in India. This young family in my blip were settling down for the night, the young girl with the orange scarf was very entertaining, they came off one train and either want to tackle Margao in daylight or are catching an early onward train tomorrow.

We cracked the Honeybee Brandy to make our friends at home!
