Coffee break

There are bad decisions and really bad decisions. I was feeling lazy this morning, last night's euphoria not having quite worn off. Alighting from the #7 beside the new Ibis/Costa/Sainsbury's I decided to wait the 3 mins for the #35, Edinburgh's slowest bus. Why I don't know as it only takes me 7 mins to walk down the Mile. Well I have no idea where it was, hiding round the corner in Chambers Street when it was 'due' no doubt, but it took an age to appear. Then round another corner, at John Knox's House, 12 French students got on with their leader requesting 12 day tickets. Don't they know that 9 is still the rush hour and that tourists who don't know our ways shouldn't be out in public before noon? However the enforced wait on South Bridge meant that I am forewarned about the resurfacing work that is taking place there next week which will cause rush hour mayhem. Be warned.

So to work and more briefing of the newbies before lunch with G and a discussion about the film and joint working.

Now I am off, till Monday. First, 2+ hours during which Jon rendered me as beautiful as I can be before a side trip to Morningside to confirm that there is no close proximity parking at the surgery. My father has decided to pay the fine but tomorrow, on my day off, I'll be phoning Waverley Court to find out what their policy is on close proximity parking in such places. Not good enough has to be the answer. I wonder who the councillor is?

So now a coffee and a toastie and a cake before choir committee. I had no time to print off the agenda or minutes. Failed again.

Then home to put out the mattress and, if I can bear to go in the loft, carpet offcuts. Or as the predictive text will have it 'bear to go on the lift'. Close!

Roll on the weekend, 3 whole days of nothing! !!!
