View through the snow

On Thursdays they usually have nice food at M's work, and also dessert, which they don't usually have. So I decided to make the trip to Reykjavik, carefully reading the weather forecast that gives the conditions on the mountain road that I have to take to get to the city (it updates it every 10 minutes, and indicate if the road is slippery or icy or if there is a lot of snow on it etc). It said everything was fine, so off I went and had a nice lunch of leg of lamb filled with dried fruit, apples and peaches and prunes, very interesting and tasty. The dessert was a fruit smoothie, OK, but nothing to write home about. The trip back home was also uneventful, but apparently just after I left, it started snowing in Reykjavik, and shortly after that, here in our little town of Hveragerði. And now the road forecast said there was fog and snow and it was slippery. I was so glad I had missed that, not used to driving in conditions like that and on the ´wrong´ side of the road as well! This was the view through our lounge window, icy snow flakes almost covered the entire window.
