Winter twigs
In the dying light this afternoon I found this nice cluster of twigs showing at least six species of tiny fungi. Each of those little balls of Coral Spot is less than 1mm across. There's something very intimate about exploring the microfungi like this. I see there's a revised reprint of the classic book by Martin and Pamela Ellis on 'Microfungi on Land Plants'. Can I justify spending £60 on this?
