Scots Pine
The Scots Pine has been officially recognised as Scotland's National Tree, much like the oak of England and the Canadian Maple.
Many fine examples can be found on Gillies Hill including some which rank among the biggest in the country and which are protected. There are several along the western cliff edge of Touchadam Crag, this being one of them.
