Annual Dredging begins at Lyme Regis

today, whilst doing my gardening job, overlooking the harbour at Lyme Regis, the silence was broken by the regular creaking sound of the digger moving across the sand to begin the annual dredging while the tide was out. This will take place daily for the next few days, because we have some low spring tides coming over the weekend. It is a vital job, necessary for the efficient running of the harbour, which during the year gets silted up often preventing working boats getting in and out at times.
I was, as usual, equipped with my Panasonic Lumix TZ20, with its impressive zoom and here is one of the resultant shots I took as my Blip for today.
