Sunset on So Cal
I'm immersed in editing and writing projects at work and I'm trying to wrap up everything up before I leave on vacation next week.
By lunchtime I really needed a break. I decided not to work through lunch as I usually do and actually go out and try to find an interesting subject for today's blip. I started driving and found myself at Double Peaks Park in San Marcos for the first time. The view was 360 degrees and stunning! But when I went to grab my camera, I realized that I had left the battery plugged into the wall to charge. Cripes!
Since I didn't carpool today, I went back after work to try to get a sunset shot. I sat in my car for about twenty minutes watching the sun dip lower and lower in the sky until it was hovering just over the water (in case you couldn't tell - that's the ocean waaaay out there). It was very peaceful and made me realize that I rarely stop to watch the sun set (or rise for that matter). I definitely need to pause and do it more often.
It isn't quite what I hoped for but it's still pretty. And oh my goodness, it was windy as all get out up there! I thought I might blow away.
