ANTS OR TERMITES

These nests are to be seen all over the surrounding hills. I am not sure if they are Harvester ants or termites. The other day we saw a huge pile of chewed grass and sticks. It must have been the size of a big soft pillow.
I gather that one of the differences between ants and termites is that ants have bent feelers and termites have bead like feelers. Ants have a waist and termites don't.
I will have to wait for the next rainy spell as they are usually very busy then carrying and dragging loads far larger than themselves
