Pigeon Hotspot

Who needs the upset of installing a tram system from Edinburgh airport to the city centre and on to Leith, when we have the trusty no 35 bus which does the job for us?

The downside is of course that it takes forever as it jolts and lurches its way over potholes and badly laid cobbles from the open sanitised spaces of Edinburgh Business Park, where no human is ever seen outside, down the Royal Mile with its crowded closes and congested streets, arriving at the waterfront in Leith with boats, and people who like to think of themselves as Leithers.
During that hour and a half's journey on the top deck, one gets a glimpse of Edinburgh life in all its diversity.

We were privileged to use our bus passes on the no 35 this morning in order to visit the Opticians at Western Harbour. His Lordship discovered he had a screw loose which had caused his leg to fall off. With only one leg operational he was finding it hard to read the paper.
With a new screw inserted and his leg attached, the mission was accomplished and he feels like a new man, an all-seeing one at that.

It also allowed me this blip of the pigeon hotspot at the Chancelot Mill.
