Perito Moreno Glacier

What a day! We visited the glacier in the Parque Nacional Los Glaciares, an amazing mass of ice, one of the very few that's advancing. It 'calves' (lumps falling off) all the time which generates a massive bang as the ice cracks and then hits the water, a real spectacle.
Then................ we put on crampons and walked on it! What an experience, something we will both remember for the rest of our lives.
