Treasure

This is my box of treasures! : In the top section is a Pewter Celtic knot brooch that blipper lubelle gave me some 25 years ago when we were both in London. The left hand side middle section holds a very special ring. It's silver and a pink Tourmaline, there are 3 fine silver rings that sit with it, so it occupies the whole of that Carpal bone. It's made by a Scandinavian jeweller Gerda Flockinger. When I married in the sixties, I wasn't given an engagement ring and I believe I bought me own wedding ring------- should have known better eh!. So on a wild fling in London in the 70's I gave myself this. In the bottom section is a tangle of shells and pink wire chain. During a trip to Auz/ NZ in the noughties I gathered sea shells and sea glass a young jeweller in Cromer then made it all into a Necklace and 2 pairs of earrings : they are my favourite things to wear on warm sunny days!

The Irish Comedian Dave Allen, claims he wanted his epitaph to read :
Grieve not for me now,
Nor grieve for me ever,
I'm going to do nothing for ever and ever.

That last line really appeals.
