ZIPPY

This little red squirrel was the only animal braving the cold today. He would pick up a seed spilled from the bird feeder, then scurry up to this branch to quickly eat it, then back to the ground for another seed, and repeat over & over again – zip, zip, zip. I’m sure all the exercise kept him warm, but it seems he burns more calories running up and down than he’s getting from eating. Incredible energy and great fun to watch! He’s so tiny, he could fit in my hand – if he’d hold still for a second!
