Testing Continues
Still working on the FotoStelvio server.
The thing about FS is the large amount of data that needs to be moved around. When you are shifting 40-60G per day, with a potential peak of 150G in a single day, unless you are buying everything brand new, running with the latest USB 3 disks, and so forth, processing and moving data is a big thing. It's very easy just to get carried away with the tech and all of a sudden you just spent a large amount of your profits on your IT.
I'm trying to avoid that. Because I'm a tight ass.
Today's little test is running up a software raid to see if I can move data a little quicker.
The answer is no. Makes very little difference.
