JUNE SPENCER

I was very thrilled to spot June Spencer in BH reception as I came in.
June was being interviewed on Woman's Hour, following her lifetime achievement award presented to her by the DG tony Hall at the BBC audio drama awards on Sunday.
June is unbelievably 94 years of age and plays Peggy Woolley in The Archers.
She is now the only remaining original cast member, of the show which started in 1951.
I felt a bit cheeky asking if I could take a picture, but couldn't stop myself.
June was charming and said with a little surprise 'Here? like this?'
As you can see, she looks a million dollars.
