Mixed Emotions

This day of the year is always a strange one.

It's my mums birthday and today she has reached the big 40! It is also the anniversary of losing my dad. It never gets any easier and I don't know who came up with "time heals" but it isn't true!

So we've celebrated my mums birthday. I got the chef on the ward to make mum a cake which was good of
him. She loved it.

We've also taken a moment to remember my dad. I can honestly say I think about & miss him every single day.
