The times they were a changing
Tonight we watched the Coen Brothers' film 'Inside Llewyn Davis'.
The story is about one week in the life of a singer-songwriter who is active in New York's folk music scene in 1961, just before the likes of Bob Dylan made folk music popular.
I loved this melancholic film set in Greenwich Village NY in 1960's. A period & place I definitely would have liked to have lived
The thing that caught my eye was an Edinburgh Festival print on the wall of an Upper West Side apartment of an academic couple whose sofa Llewyn crashed on. Great to see our adopted city setting the cultural trends back then.
