At the weekend we had another big adventure and took A south of the border for the first time, staying with our friends in York. While we were there we met up with a friend of ours, Gill, who is a very talented artist. We had already decided that we would like one of her paintings for my Christmas present, and she was exhibiting in the Spurriergate Centre (if you're in York the exhibition is on till this Friday, do take a look), and this is what we ended up buying, I'm delighted with it and it looks lovely in our living room. She does a lot of painting of remote Scotland, I could quite happily have walked away with all of the pictures! We did get another of her prints, this time for A's room - I'll take a picture of that one another day.
