North Shields Shipping Boat

It was a particularly fresh day in the North East (typical January!) so my family and I decided upon a trip to the coast. We were all wrapped up against the elements. We decided to take a leisurely (I say this but had a 16.5kg toddler on my shoulders most of the way!) stroll up the pier at Tynemouth to the lighthouse and take in the views across the Tyne. On the way back there was a shipping boat being guided out of the tyne. The sun was very low and I thought at the time it might have made a nice picture. Looking at it later I was extremely pleased with the results. I stumbled across this competition and thought my photo was quite fitting for the title so thought why not.
