Long Service Award

It was a sad day yesterday when I went to get a new battery for my much-loved Swatch here to find out there was actually nothing wrong with the battery and that it was irrepairable. It started to go slow a couple of days ago after serving me well for 15 years. That's 7,862,400 minutes! And all it asked of me was a new strap from time to time. Low maintenance indeed, so I can't complain.

I set off to buy a replacement watch with the following criteria: clear face, clear minute marks, and the date. Not as easy as you'd think, but I eventually got one with the added bonus that it also has the day. One less thing to remember now!
