Willow Pattern
Pouring with rain again today. :(
I shot this pair of mallards having an afternoon nap under a corkscrew willow which grows on the island in next door's lake. Its contorted branches are very attractive and together with the ducks, are reflected in the water. We're in the run-up to Chinese New Year so a willow pattern is quite appropriate.
It is the year of the horse so I'll be togging my horsey friends over the next couple of days. I togged them this afternoon with water dripping off their forelocks. I also photographed the dunnocks which live in a disused greenhouse. They love sorting through Mr Q's piles of wood that he has prepared for the burner.
