Unusual sighting
I met Gill for a carvery lunch at The Loch House near Lochwinnoch and afterwards we popped down the road to the RSPB Nature Reserve for a walk.
There was a great variety of birds to be seen near the visitor centre where the feeders had been regularly filled, but as we ventured further away down the path round the loch they were conspicuous by their absence. Gill was able to see some ducks and swans on the water in the distance, but only because she had her binoculars with her.
We were, however, thrilled to spot this extremely rare woodland creature climbing up a tree. Can any blippers help to identify it, please?
