This is Lake Taupowith the backdrop of Mt Tauhara (1088 metres) on the left and the conical "Fea Mountain" on the right.

In the foreground is a black swan, a joy to see, as we did have one (escaped) on the River Kent in Kendal.

Mt Tauhara is commonly referred to as the pregnant woman (head on the right) and she last erupted 65,000 years ago! All this is within the Lake Taupo Caldera.
