Doha Days

Another street - another week long wedding celebration getting underway as I drove home from an evening meeting. In the short time I have been here I have quickly leant that upstaging your neighbour is a national sport. If you have a thousand lightbulbs I will have five thousand. If you build a porticoed mansion I will build a marble palace. If you drive a V6 4x4 I will drive a V12 8x8 and so it goes on ... and then the State pitches in with a massive new build world class teaching hospital but as its vista is marred by some all singing all dancing executive villas the latter are demolishes before they have even been occupied!

Thank you for all the cockroach advice yesteday. I have not seen anymore since then and none has come in the house yet!
