A Journey Home
The whole day has revolved around my invitation from the doctor for a flu injection. Apparently I am on a list that shows I am more susceptible to complications from the influenza virus. So I turn up, a little breathless from the sprint around the corner off of the stupid late STOOPID bus. I was told to get my left arm ready. I wanted to say to the receptionist 'Yes love, my left arm has been preparing for this all day'. No sooner than lefty was ready, I was being inoculated. I managed to not be too scared of the needle. I grimaced like a toughie. Anyway, turns out we're not sure why I was on the risk list, but I got a free jab, so hopefully no flu this year! It was only on the bus home after grocery shopping that I actually sat forward and went 'BLIP!' - the lady next to me was a little concerned, and more so when I started taking wobbly pictures out of the window. But I think the lights came out nice on the firework setting!
