Dome-inating
My meetings today was in Nottingham. The venue was the rather impressive Council House which was designed by Thomas Cecil Howitt and built between 1927 and 1929 in the Neo-Baroque style characterised by the huge pillars that circle the building along with the carvings on the facade. The impressive sight on the skyline is the 200ft high dome.
WOW once you enter the building and start up the main staircase and look up it is fantastic. So I thought that it deserved a blip from this interior aspect.
The building also includes a glass roofed shopping arcade which you can look down onto from the main staircase of the Council House. While we were in the building we were treated to the hourly and half hourly chimes of the bell which is called Little John!
