Iris hyrcana

... or maybe not! Some authorities sink this diminutive beauty into the widely grown Iris reticulata. In truth maybe it is just a small form of that species but being around half the size and always very dwarf in stature it is quite distinct. It's nice to have a name to distinguish it by .... even if it's the wrong one!
