UP HELLY AA AFTERMATH

We watched the live broadcast on the internet of Up Helly Aa from Shetland last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. After the Viking ship was burned it was off to the halls for more merriment, all night long, which from many miles away we could not join in.

This morning I was just about to delete the link to the webcam from my computer but opened it instead. To see this lone Father Christmas wending his way home from the party. Just after I clicked my camera he either waved at the webcam or put a finger up to it. I think he'd had a good night.
