Sleeping Beauties

Time to catch some zeds. Sleeping patterns have been stretched to breaking point & it's time to buckle down & get to bed earlier.

Another Tuesday night football instalment saw Heskeys Tekkers take on South St, a team just one place above in the league. A first win of the season would take us up the table into uncharted territory, a loss would see us languish at the lower end of the league, extending our run of losses to 4.

Well, to cut a grueling & wet story short, we lost 7-0. We had a number of changes to the lineup, & I think we did make some improvements as a team, however as you can imagine, it was a very disappointing result. We had hoped for a better scoreline than that, but South St weren't a bad outfit & we we still need to work on bonding as a team. We didn't concede any quick goals, which definitely was one of our aims for the night, however we didn't quite keep goals conceded under 5, so swings & roundabouts. We can take some solace from the knowledge that our opponents have been in the league for 3 seasons now & it took them time to find a formula that worked. We better get cooking..!
