Stenocarpus sinuatus

A large tree where the bright flowers hang on the underside of the branches and it is not until you are almost against the trunk that you can see the almost luminous flowers.

A day of pouring through recipe books - book club at my place tomorrow and a cake is required. I probably make one or two cakes a year so trying to find something interesting but failsafe is always tricky!
