What used to be a perfectly good chain of hardware stores has remade itself into a another horn of plenty where consumer society goes to worship. The facade is festooned with one word slogans indicating the worldly pursuits that may be enabled by the shoddy wares they sell; including this one which must have seemed a stroke of genius at the brainstorming session that produced it - "this one will cover everything else!" I went inside to use the washroom in the service department before going to the bank next door.
