Birthday Celebrations

Today it's my birthday and we got up later than normal as Alan didn't have to go into work as early this morning. So I opened my presents and cards in bed before he left, and I had a phone call off my mum and lots of messages.

I didn't make any special plans for today as Alan was taking me out for dinner tonight, so I went to the French class as normal. When I arrived they all sang Happy Birthday to me in French and had bought me a card which they'd all signed, then after the class we went to the local cafe where I bought everyone a cupcake.

After lunch I went into town to do a bit of shopping before meeting Alan from work, and we went for a drink at Ten Green Bottles before going to Jamie Oliver's for dinner. Jamie had kindly emailed me to say that as it was my birthday there was a bottle of fizz waiting for me, so it would have been rude to have gone elsewhere. Our meal was lovely and I also got a free chocolate brownie for dessert, which Alan ate :-)

Anyway, it's been a lovely day, but it's late so I'll catch up with you all tomorrow. Cheers!
