PwC Strathclyde Sports Awards Ball 2014

For the last four months I have been in charge of organising the PwC Strathclyde Sports Awards Ball and what a stressful job it has been.

The Sports Ball is the biggest social event in the University's calendar with 530 guests attending this year (the biggest ever!). The event celebrates the achievements and efforts of the students in the Sports Union over the previous year. Awards include Sportsman and Sportswoman of The Year, Team of The Year and Section of The Year. The University also inducts its Hall of Fame alumni. This year's theme for is the Commonwealth Games and we are honoured to have some of Scotland's medallists attending.

It is always a fantastic night so being responsible for the 2014 Ball adds a lot of pressure. Come Sunday morning all I would like to hear or read on Twitter and Facebook is that everyone - or at least most people - had a good night.
