Cai - Wealth/Prosperity/Money
I've shown you my decorations two weeks ago and now I've finally put the decorations up !
This is one of the Chinese New Year decorations hanging from blossom branches.
The character is Cai (pronounciation: tchai, a bit like the tea drink), which means wealth/prosperity/money. It's one part of the traditional Chinese New Year's wish "Gong Xi Fa Cai" which is saying Happy Chinese New Year by congratulating you (that's the Gong Xi bit)and wishing you much wealth (Fa Cai = Multiple wealth).
Thanks very much for your comments and stars for this weekend's Scottish Blips, I'm struggling to catch up again
