Day 4: Bouncy

Spent most of today in the back of a Land Rover Discovery. The five of us had a private tour of the East of the island and being the youngest and smallest, I had the jump seat in the back, so spent lots of time looking where we'd been and seeing things several seconds after the others had seen them.

Odd weather as the morning was cold and wet which was a shame as it meant we didn't stay long in Santana where the traditional thatched cottages are (bit disappointing to be honest). Some stunning scenery in Madeira and it was hard to chose a photo but I went with this as for me it typifies much of Madeira - lush, green, hilly with twisty roads and houses clinging for purchase on the steep slopes.
