Hello Baby

Tonight Grace was full of kisses for Baby Bump :)

Hubby and I are trying to help our little girl begin to get her head around the fact that she will soon have a little brother or sister. Up until now, she's just been able to point to my bump and say 'Baby' and give it kisses, but then she'll point to her own tummy and say 'Baby' too.

This week, we've set up the cot and moses basket in our bedroom, we took Grace to my antenatal appointment and also read her some books that a friend leant us about getting ready for a new baby. It still must be very difficult for a 26 month old to understand what is going to happen, but hopefully we're preparing her as best we can.

At my appointment, the midwife confirmed that Baby is well engaged and could come at any time, measuring slightly ahead of dates. She ran through what to do if it arrived suddenly at home too... Part of me would like the baby out sooner rather than later, and I have had a feeling for a while that will be the case. However, I am so enjoying pregnancy and will be sad when it ends in a way. Maybe it is because I know it will be my last. Partly it is because I have so much more energy this time around, and I so love my bump. Grace's bump was humungous and the whole of me bloated up like a whale. This time. I have a lovely neat bump and the rest of me is pretty much the same. Of course it may also have something to do with the impending sleepless nights...
