Up Up and Away

Today my tutoring took me out near the airport, just across the highway from Terminal Three. Sometimes there is a lot of activity going on but I've rarely managed to catch a blip of an Emirates flight taking off. Today I did!!!

Think this shows the reality of the modern city of Dubai as the airport is well within the city limits. Despite the built up area, you are always conscious of the Emirates humble beginnings in the desert sands of the Arabian peninsular.

The foreground aptly portrays the soil on which modern Dubai is founded.....but its ok...the foundations of Terminal Three run deep!!!
