Sunshine before the rain

I spotted this rather pretty sky of contrasts as I was preparing to reverse off the drive to go to Home Group this morning, so took a quick photo through the car windscreen. Thanks are due to the obliging passing seagull!

Quite enjoyed Home Group this morning and we had naughty cake beforehand because it was someone's birthday this week :-) I thought this would happen, so had just a banana for breakfast with a very small amount of cereal. I do feel as if I've lost quite a bit of weight since the Christmas period - last time I checked it was 3lbs, and I noticed immediately this morning that my clothes felt looser and more comfortable :-) I'm not avoiding everything naughty, but just having something lighter to eat before or after seems to be working.

I spent the afternoon doing mending - all our chair arm covers seem to need continual repairs around the seams. All done now and I packed my sewing bag up and my husband said "Ooh, I noticed a loose button on my trousers yesterday!" so I got that done as well. Nice to be up-to-date at last with at least one thing!

A very rainy afternoon and SO dark. We had to put the light on to do the washing up at 2.30 pm. - ridiculous!
