5 green lights

We started having problems with our internet running really slowly last week. And then on Friday our upload speed plummeted to 0%! We ran virus checkers, cleaned up all the old files from the PCs, did everything we could think of but to no avail. In the end hubbie phoned BT broadband to be told something had changed in the exchange which was affecting us but that it would be sorted in 48 hours. By Sunday we still couldn't upload and the internet speed had practically ground to a halt. Hubbie phoned BT back again who this time told us we had a line fault which was causing the problem! On Monday I phoned them again to see if I could get any sense from them. I might not be the most computer literate person around but as I work for BT, I figured if they could tell me what the specific problem is then it might make a bit more sense! However, after a 5 minute conversation with the advisor in India I was non the wiser but had managed to secure an appointment for an engineer to call out on Wednesday.

Today, having just come back from a hospital appointment (had a growth scan - baby doing well and kicked the sonographer a few times!), I decided on the spur of the moment to try to upload a photo again and hey, it worked! And the internet running much faster too! Very strange since no engineer has been out so will be interesting to see if one turns up tomorrow and if so, what he has to say about it!!

So have finally managed to get on line and have backblipped the following -
