New pots and pans

We bought an induction hob just before Christmas. At our last house here we had a gas hob but the new house has four solid electric rings which take forever to heat up so we bought a "portable" single induction hob which is ideal if you're living in a rented house and it's not economically viable to buy a whole new hob. The only problem was that none of our pans worked on it as they have to be heavy flat bottomed and be capable of conducting (not sure that's the correct term?) magnetism as the hob works on producing heat by rapidly reversing polarity. It is magic. I think that when we replace our solid hob in our house in the UK we will definitely invest in a proper induction hob.
