Assortment

This is a picture of our Mud Room. It is filled with an assortment of coats, jackets, footwear, gloves, hats, umbrellas, pet supplies, dog food, keys, recycling, baskets and bags, and even wrapping paper!

I designed the bench underneath the window. It has a hinged lid which provides a roomy bin for storing boots and shoes, and when the lid is closed it becomes a handy seat, or a spot to drop grocery bags while divesting oneself of outer layers. There is a horizontal rack behind the hinged lid to store umbrellas, fishing rods, flags, and rolls of gift wrap -- all awkward things to keep corralled under normal circumstances.
