In the shade
The day was extremely hot and the temperature recorded at just after 2.oo in the afternoon not long before I took this photo was 44.3degrees. Dust driven by wind gusts was blowing in mini-sandstorms along the side of the roads. To tolerate the heat outside I soaked a long sleeved shirt in cold water to briefly go out to try to photograph the weather conditions.
Tomorrow will be a fair bit cooler. The temperature is forecast to rise again on Friday. The fire danger has never been higher. People in high risk areas have to remain alert. You will see the reason in the movement in the trees. Time to get some rest.
