Catkins

Feeling pretty good today as I got up early and have spent a couple of hours looking after the garden, cutting back dead wood and last year's raspberry canes. Remembered that I had seen some catkins the other day while out walking, and so I went to look for some in the new hedge which borders our meadow.
Catkins are one of my favourite signs of approaching spring. What are yours, I wonder?
