Kina in Nelson . . . . .

. . . . . glass Kina, that is, not the sea version, otherwise known as sea eggs or Sea Urchins. I've often seen kina ( the Maori name) when I've been diving, and these beautifully hand blown glass eggs brought back happy memories.

I'm staying in Nelson, with a friend from Minneapolis and we've had a wonderful day today, catching up and doing a little shopping in central Nelson. We've not seen each other for years, so there's been a lot of filling in the gaps. We found some wonderful glassware at a boutique store called Flame Daisy, where we were enchanted with the hand made creations on display.
