Tranquil Sea
The day dawned with a clear sky. There was heavy dew on the grass and a distinct chill in the air. I walked down to the beach with camera and tripod. There was a bank of clouds covering the Richmond Range and Nelson to the east. I had to wait around for the light to come right and the sun to start appearing over the clouds. At almost high tide the sea was still and almost pearly.
It is Margaret, Steve and Emily’s last day here before they return to Wellington tomorrow. My photographer friend, Rachel, arrives later today to stay for a few days. No doubt we will be doing a lot of photography as long as the weather is kind.
