Frozen

After a weekend of sub-zero temperatures, followed by heavy snowfall today, the canal near our house has not only frozen over but is also covered in a mantle of white. On our way to nursery this morning, the boy and I had very different reactions to it though, showing just want a caring wee soul he is.

Me: Look! Isn’t it pretty!
Boy: What?
Me: The canal. Isn’t it pretty? It’s frozen over and covered with snow!
Boy: Oh no! Are the ducks okay??!?
