An old lock

This is the lock on my garden gate, and it must be over 100 years old. Heaven knows when it last worked - the gate has been held shut with a piece of wire since before we bought the house many years ago. I can see that the gate must once have been green, and then blue, before being painted its current black. Clearly it is overdue for another coat of paint!
