Vemdalsskalet from our cottage

It looks lovely with the sun and the blue sky. It IS lovely, but it's also -16 C and in combination with the wind of skiing downhill that is really too cold for comfort.
When I took the photo I had been out for about 2,5 hours and that was about a half-hour too long. My hands and feet really hurt as they warmed up from numbness and it took about 30 minutes before I really felt OK. Very silly of me really!
I put my jacket, gloves, balaclava, helmet, and boots in the drying cabinet and turned it up full to warm them up.
After lunch I added another thick jumper and put on all my now super-warm equipment. The next 2,5 hours I managed to stay reasonably warm but I wasn't sorry the lifts closed at 15:30!
There was no internet at the cottage, hence the back blipping. Feel free to check out the Bullfinch in the snow and Jämtland at -20.
Tomorrow I'll bring things up to date and check out all your entries for the last few days.
Stay warm! (unless you are somewhere where "Stay cool" is more appropriate).
