McCall's Cookbook - 1963

This is my grandmother's cookbook. She passed away years ago but I have her small collection of cookbooks from the 50s and 60s.

I like this one because on the inside cover in tiny pencil script she has written her weight (112 lbs), my grandpa's weight (152 lbs), and the calories they need to consume every day. She also references a sandwich spread on page 522.

I also just found a ticket stub from the Los Angeles 1984 Olympics inside bookmarking a recipe for vegetable salad. Looks like they paid $4 to attend the Men's Marathon at 5:15 p.m. on Aug. 12, 1984 at Santa Monica College.
