Ye Hall of John Halle

This magnificent hall, is part of a residence built, 1470 -1473 by John Halle, wool merchant and mayor of Salisbury. The title remains carved on the extremely detailed front of the building.

It was restored in 1834 by A.W Pugin.

Today it is an Odeon Cinema and to their credit, it remains a fully maintained wonderful historical building.

We discovered this building while wandering through Salisbury.
