Lovely weather for ducks

This was the path through the nature reserve this morning. The sun was out and the birds were singing - apart from the ducks who were busy choosing nest sites in an impossibly altered landscape. This guy was sitting on an 'island' while his mate swam about with grasses in her mouth just out of shot. False spring, I'm afraid. Still, thinking about it is fun and I do have snowdrops and primroses out in my garden, no doubt soon to be blasted.
